For five days in March and April 2011, my friends and I went on a girlfriend getaway to Ilocos. We flew in and out via Philippine Airlines (PAL) and visited Pagudpud, Laoag, and other sights in the province of Ilocos Norte, and also visited Vigan in the province of Ilocos Sur.
We gave ourselves some “luxuries” (like our food and private airconditioned van for our Laoag tour) while foregoing some conveniences (such as riding in tricycles and non-aircon buses). Here’s our individual travel budget for your reference. I didn’t include expenses for items such as souvenirs, pasalubong and stuff I shopped for myself since these are more personal and really tend to vary for each traveler. Please bear in mind that we divided most of our expenses by four.
