Hello there! Hope everyone is having a great start to 2013 so far.
To welcome the new year, I spent a weekend in Baguio, the City of Pines, and welcomed the opportunity to dress for the cold weather. I brought out the knit hats, the jackets and the scarves. Particularly, a breton shirt bought from a recent trip to Korea proved to be quite the remarkable basic item from which I was able to style three different looks, as you can see from these photos via Instagram:
Inspired by using this breton top as a foundation for quite different outfits, I created these looks in cooperation with Javelin, originally a brick and mortar fashion boutique that now has a strong online presence and offers a cultivated and unique selection of brands.
Here you can see how a simple, very basic black long sleeved cotton shirt can be styled depending on your moods and errands—from a casual look for the weekend, to work wear, and a look hardy enough even for the great outdoors.

Whether you’re dreaming of fall or winter, or actually experiencing the cold and the snow, consider how you can create and recreate your looks using something as basic as a black long sleeved top.
All the items featured in the above lookbooks are available at Javelin. Happy weekend!
