The first thing we did when we arrived in our resort in Pagudpud, was to head to the beach and catch the fading light of sunset. Kapuluan Vista is located along Maira-ira Beach, right at the edge of the famed cove that has become famously know as Blue Lagoon. During certain times of the year, the waters of Blue Lagoon are so calm that it seems like it’s one big swimming pool. Alas, this was not that time of the year. The winds were so fiercely strong, whipping our hair and our clothes. Swimming in the cold waters with waves this strong was a crazy idea! There was no practically no beach where we could lounge around.
But, we still have a lot to be thankful for. In fact, we were told we’re even lucky because it was even raining in the days prior to our arrival in Pagudpud. And well, we had views as grand as this to be enjoyed. The rock formations in the distance are known as the Dos Hermanos.
And not even such strong winds can stop us from doing what any self-respecting cam whore will do when on holiday by the beach and bathed in golden light—-photoshoot! 🙂
Later in the trip, when we were on our way to Vigan, we passed by the main area of Blue Lagoon.
For me, it just means we should never ever give up on our quest to find our own little piece of paradise, wherever it may be 🙂
I wish us all more travels (and someday, our own piece of paradise as well). Cheers! 🙂
