More pictures from our lovely weekend in Balay Indang:
After dinner on our first day, some of us got massages right in our room and just relaxed the night away playing cards and well, slept! Our second day was for exploring more of the grounds, which we didn’t get to do the previous day since it rained in the afternoon and we went swimming after. There was so much left to explore in this sprawling, almost magical place 🙂

We even discovered a tree house at the back of the property. It was so nice 🙂

And near the tree house, we also saw this utterly charming outdoor lavatory—now this is really communing with nature 🙂

Other “activities” that you may want to try are these barefoot walk (supposedly will massage your feet)
And this “mini adventure” where you can test your balance.

There are so many interesting pockets of garden and scenery and unique details all throughout the property, but well-placed and quite organic, as if they just grew out of the greenery.

And one of my favorites has got to be this outdoor area right off the dining room and canopied by vines. Really nice 🙂 A great inspiration for a country home 🙂 Utterly charming 🙂

All in all, Balay Indang was a real jewel of a find for a bed & breakfast retreat, perfect for a weekend getaway. The only disadvantage was that on our second day, there was a big group of daytrippers who was apparently there for a team building activity (I overheard they’re a Chinese-Filipino church group). They occupied the pool house, complete with games and the use of a loud microphone. It ruined the peaceful atmosphere, and we were so glad we were just about to leave. Based on that experience, I would want to try Balay Indang on a weekday if I really want deep peace and relaxation, if only to avoid the possibility of big crowds. That being said, if you’re with a group and you want an active weekend, then you would really have to find something to do in Balay Indang. Because otherwise, it’s really just quiet and relaxation, a welcome retreat from city living. Unless there will be noisy daytrippers of course.
Cheers! 🙂
