The resort where we stayed in Pagudpud, Kapuluan Vista Resort, prides itself in its organic food. They have their own gardens where they grow stuff for their salads and all the fresh blooming flowers which they use as decor throughout the resort.
Here are pictures of their simple menu. I am not surprised to learn that they don’t cook with MSG and they only cook with olive oil and vegetable oil. They’re also proud of the fact that their meals are made from scratch. Yes, we noticed that it takes a while for them to bring food to the table. But we’re on vacation and so there’s really no rush. Slow food= good food 🙂
For our first night in Kapuluan and after thoroughly enjoying their margaritas, we ordered some real food. I apologize for the dark pictures since the dining area wasn’t that well-lighted 🙁
Dinakdakan Meal (P250.00) This pork dish is a must try!
The Pollo Asada (chicken) burrito (P325) is heavenly and big enough to be shared by four hungry girls. We loved this so much that we ordered it again for dinner the next night.
We also ordered Bolognese pasta (P300) and Grilled Chicken Quarter Meal (P250), also one of their specialties. And because it was so cold, we had to ask for sinigang soup to warm us, which they gave us for free 🙂
Then for dinner on our second night, we ordered Kapuluan’s famous Beef Patty Burger (P385), along with Fish Sinigang (P225) and the Chicken Burrito. We were told that during surfing season, the place is packed even with non-hotel guests, who come all the way to the resort just for the burger 🙂 The patty is very juicy and another blogger, Blauearth, even proclaimed it as one of the best burgers in Ilocos 🙂
These are my other charming memories of Kapuluan Vista:
This is Drew, the resort owner’s dog (who we can’t figure out if a boy or a girl!)
Crazy hair, fierce wind, fantastic light
